Use your leftover coffee grounds to make a face and body scrub!

If you’re like me and you drink coffee by the truck load then you always have grounds lying around, and sometimes you want to do more than just compost them

Coffee is one of nature’s great beauty products – it makes sense that if it wakes up your mind, then it must wake up your skin!  It’s fantastic to also promote hair growth, skin repair, metabolism, and makes a great exfoliant!

One of my tips with this is to make sure your coffee grounds are DRY if you want this to last longer than a few weeks – anything with moisture is likely to mould.  If you’re worried, stick them on a low oven for a few hours, or into your dehydrator.

If you can’t be bothered to do that – just keep it in the fridge!

Coffee Scrub Ingredients:

2 Tbsp cacao butter

2 Tbsp coconut oil

1 1/2 C dried coffee ground

optional essence

Melt the butter and oil over a pan of simmering water – add the coffee and essence and you’re DONE!

Put it into a cute little packet like the one below – then scrub away (go on, make a mess in your shower, have fun, get it all over the walls!)
