Vegan Choc-Protein Brownies

I wrote this recipe into the ‘My Fitness Pal’ app and these little delicious squares are coming in at approx. 16g protein per serve and approx. 250cal (amongst other things there’s a bunch of nuts and seeds with loads of vitamins and minerals to keep your body going) – this is a ‘zero-waste’ recipe as ALL of the ingredients were sourced from Bulk food stores!  Very proud, considering so many protein bars come pre-packaged.  These kept for about 2 weeks in the fridge!


Recipe – Makes 8 bars

1C dates
1C vegan protein powder
2Tbs cacao powder
Optional: 1/2 C hemp seeds or chia seeds or spelt oats or other nut seed or grain

  1. Blend until smooth, then add either 1/4C coconut oil or 1 banana – depends if you’re watching fats and oils or not
  2. Blend until soft and smooth, add water if necessary to make into firm dough
  3. Place into tin, let set, cut into 8 pieces or smaller
